The Capilano Apricot is one among three Apricot trees, likely planted as seedlings, found growing in Edmonton AB and propagated by local fruit enthusiasts and foragers. Capilano Apricot is a hardy tree for cold climates and produces freestone apricots, where the flesh separates easily from the pit.

Fruit: Sweet, 5cm/ 2'' good sized freestone apricots.
Use: Tree ripened apricots are healthy and delicious eaten fresh and keep wonderfully when canned or dried to achieve a longer shelf life for the winter pantry.
Hardiness: Zone 3.
Ripening: Harvest in mid to late July.
Pollination: Self fertile.
