Giant Key Lime Budwood

Citrus aurantifolia.

Spontaneous autotetraploid selected from seedling population of diploid Key lime in 1973 by HC Barrett, US Horticultural Research Laboratory, Orlando. 

Fruit are more than twice as large as ordinary diploid key lime but have true key lime flavour and aroma.

Rootstocks of accession: Citrus macrophylla, Schaub Rough lemon.

Season of ripeness at Riverside, California: September to November.
