Ruby Grass

Melinis nerviglumis 'Savannah', known as Ruby Grass for its striking deep red panicles, forms a compact blue-green clump about 25cm wide. Mid-summer brings tall flowering stalks that transition from red to pink, then creamy silver by August, creating a stunning multi-colored display reaching up to 90cm tall. A versatile ornamental grass that thrives in nearly any garden setting, large containers, and rock gardens. Perennial in Zones 8-10; grow as an annual in cooler climates. Drought tolerant once established, though it prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Pollution and Black Walnut tolerant, making it ideal for challenging locations.
