Dadant 4 x 10 Bee Smoker with Shield and Finger Heat Guard.

The all new 4 x 10 beekeeping smoker with shield and finger heat guard has been developed for beekeepers who spend long hours in the apiary bee yard to produce honey for the market and those who use hotter burning fuels.

Solid fuel is burnt slowly with restricted oxygen amounts in the beekeeping smokepot and produces smoke as air streams inside when the bellows is squeezed. The smoke pumped onto the beehive and honeycombs calms bees by masking the pheromones produced by the honeybees when they are disturbed to allow them to leave you to your beekeeper duties. 

Smoldering materials for beekeeping include Hessian burlap fabric, pine needles, corrugated cardboard, paper egg cartons, dry rotten wood, pulped paper, uncoloured paper, compressed cotton, hay, untreated straw, dry grass, dried female hop flower containing the sedative lupulin, corn cobs, twine, fine wood chips, small twigs, dry leaves, sumac bobs, wood pellets and herbs.
