Dwarf Grey Sugar Snow Pea

Dwarf Grey Sugar is an early maturing snow pea, growing on prolific, bushy vines up to 1.5m (5') tall that can benefit from staking. Very attractive bi-colour pink and purple flowers are followed by clusters of flat, slightly curved pods. The light green pods average 6-8cm (2.5-3"), appearing at the tops of the plants for easy picking. This old heirloom variety has been in production since before 1773. First sold commercially in 1892 by D.M Ferry and Company. This is one of the best choices for growing pea shoots.
