LONGi ALK Hi1 Hydrogen Electrolyzer
LONGi ALK Hi1 Hydrogen Electrolyzer
The LONGi ALK Hi1 is an alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production system.

Use green energy to produce H₂ from water via electrolysis. Hydrogen can be stored and transported. Major uses of hydrogen:
- Ammonia Production (Haber-Bosch Process): Consumes about 55% of global hydrogen demand to manufacture agricultural fertilizers.
- Petroleum Refining: Accounts for roughly 25% of hydrogen consumption, used for hydrocracking and removing sulfur from fuels (hydrotreating).
- Methanol Production: Used as a chemical feedstock combined with carbon monoxide.
- Food Processing: Used to hydrogenate vegetable oils to produce products like margarine and shortening.
- Metalworking and Glass Production: Acts as a reducing agent in metal refining and prevents oxidation in flat-glass manufacturing.
- Electronics and Semiconductors: Used as a reducing and etching agent during microchip fabrication.
- Fuel Cells and Power Generation: Combines with oxygen in fuel cells to generate electricity, water, and heat with zero tailpipe emissions, powering vehicles, buses, and backup power systems.
- Aerospace: Used as liquid rocket fuel.
- Clean Steelmaking: Emerging as a low-carbon reducing agent to replace coking coal in green steel production.
- Grid Balancing and Storage: Acts as a medium for long-term seasonal energy storage (via salt caverns) and can be blended into natural gas pipelines.
